It reflects the flowing synergy of family, tradition, and creativity. Here, every piece tells a story of dedication, love, and the shared vision of two generations.

Founded in 2010 and based in Kolkata, our company specializes in sustainable clothing that features exquisite hand embroidery and hand-block prints for newborns and toddlers, ranging from 0 to 18 months. With our in-house manufacturing unit and designers dedicated to crafting quality garments for kids, we bring a thoughtful approach to each piece, blending tradition with comfort.

Expanding our commitment to sustainable fashion, we also offer an exclusive range of women’s apparel, balancing timeless traditions with modern aesthetics. Our handloom sarees and dupattas—crafted from natural fabrics like Cotton, Silk, Tussar, Chanderi etc are sourced directly from skilled weavers, ensuring authenticity and fair-trade practices. We celebrate the rich heritage of lost art of hand embroidery through intricate designs created in-house, collaborating with our talented artisans from rural India who bring unique craftsmanship to every piece.

Looking forward, we are excited to expand into men’s fashion soon, guided by our passion for quality and sustainability.

At the core of our mission is a commitment to excellence, delivering the finest products that honour tradition, sustainability, and the unique artistry of India.

Meet Our Team

Nandini Lahiri

Nandini, a devoted mother and accomplished fashion designer, holds the prestigious recognition of being a central government-approved artisan in the craft of hand embroidery. Her relentless drive for creativity and her passion for fashion, particularly in comfort wear, set her apart in the industry. Every garment she creates is a testament to her visionary design and meticulous craftsmanship, making each piece a unique expression of her artistic genius.

During her days in social work in the rural villages of India, she used to meet with numerous hand embroidery artisans and traditional weavers of rural India and end-up with heartfelt conversations with them. While conversing with them, she came to know about their struggles and the concern about the lack of work and poor wages. Their remarkable craftsmanship left her in awe, but she realized that many were facing an uncertain future. These conversations with the artisans created a lasting impact on her and inspired her to take action to uplift those marginalized communities.

Taking a leap into an unfamiliar industry, with no prior experience, was one of the boldest decisions she ever made. What motivated her was her unwavering passion for the weavers and a deep desire to make a difference in their lives. Her vision went beyond helping a few individuals — She aimed to embrace entire weaving families, empowering them and expanding the Stotra family, one artisan at a time.

Satabdi Lahiri

After completing MBA, Satabdi spent eight years thriving in the corporate world. Despite her success, her passion for art and fashion never waned. Driven by this unwavering passion, she made the bold decision to leave her corporate career behind and pursue her true calling in the fashion industry. Teaming up with her mother, who shared a similar vision, they embarked on a journey to create a brand that seamlessly blends art with fashion. As a passionate artist, she dared to dream big, transforming each piece of apparel into a unique work of art. This kindled the creative streak in her to design and to take product photographs.  She discovered her deep affinity for simple, minimalistic, and comfortable clothing—reminiscent of a bygone era—which was hard to find in the market, whether for women or children’s wear. This timeless style resonated with people of all ages and genders.

Venturing into an unfamiliar industry, with no prior experience, was one of the boldest risks she took in her career. However, it was her passion, unwavering belief in the talent of weavers and artisans, and a strong desire to uplift these communities across India that inspired her to take this leap. Together with her mother, they focused on crafting garments that not only exude elegance and style but also tell a story of creativity and dedication. Their collaborative efforts have thus resulted in a brand that reflects their shared commitment to quality, innovation, and the timeless beauty of handcrafted fashion.

Her vision is to create a brand that not only offers high-quality products but also tells the story of the artisans behind them, celebrating their artistry and ensuring that their legacies continue to thrive.
